“Luna”

8x10’’ graphite

This drawing was a commissioned gift for Martha Stewart in late 2024. I had the honor or presenting it to her personally at her home in Katonah, NY. I was especially pleased capturing the subtle sheen of Luna’s gorgeous coat - what a beauty!

“Emma”

8x10’’graphite

This stunning dog was one of the most detailed portraits I’ve rendered. Careful attention was paid to capturing Emma’s likeness while drawing her intricate curls!

“Sugar”

8x10’’ graphite

This drawing was commissioned by a good friend as a gift to her son. After Sugar passed, a portrait was a memorable way to commemorate his big personality.

“Laila #2”

6x8’’graphite

I absolutely had to do a drawing of our lovely dog. Her favorite place to spend time is on our couch near the window, protecting us from the scary squirrels. When she gave me this look, I had to capture it. I mean…those eyes!

“Sissy”

11x14’’ graphite

This drawing was commissioned as a very unique 80th birthday gift. The owner genuinely loves her dog more than life itself. Being a drawing of an all black dog, this portrait required extra nuance to capture the tones and details.

“Patches and Lacey”

11x14’’ graphite

This double dog portrait was commissioned as a surprise birthday gift from wife to husband. Lacey passed too soon and her owner wanted a drawing to remember these two friends forever.

“Cooper”

11x14’’ graphite

Cooper’s owner wanted to capture his majestic and regal qualities in this portrait. A careful hand was used to capture the slight shifts in light depicting this all black dog.

“Max”

11x14’’ graphite

Max was the second portrait commissioned from the same client. His portrait hangs on the wall near his dear friend, Brickley.

“Brickley”

11x14’’ graphite

The pose and lighting of this gorgeous lab is ideal for a dog portrait. His bandana added some personality and flare to the drawing. Brickley’s portrait hangs on a wall next to his best friend, Max.

“Reo”

11x14’’ graphite

Reo was a beautiful horse and meant so much to his owner. I strived to capture every last intricacy of his beautiful coat, mane and environment.

“Isabo and Oakley”

9x12’’ graphite

Horse owners are so passionate about their animals. This special moment between mare and foal made for a meaningful drawing showing their unbreakable bond.

“Laila #1”

8x10” graphite

This drawing is the first portrait of our dog for my fiancée. The strong lighting on her right side really helps bring dimension and form to her fuzzy face!

“Jack”

11x14” graphite

Jack was commissioned as a surprise Christmas gift from wife to husband. His velvety coat required patience and time to capture. Without strong lighting, I carefully depicted the subtle shifts in tone.

“Ginger”

8x10” graphite

This sweet little dog belongs to my chiropractor. Ginger is a great helper in his office, softening up clients before their adjustments.

“Gracie”

12x16’’ graphite

The late Gracie was such a gift to her family. This drawing required an immense commitment to precision line work. A fine, fine pencil was used for most of this portrait.

“Lexi”

9x12” graphite

Lexi was a Christmas gift from mother to child. This sweet puppy’s face was an absolute joy to draw.

“Wally”

8x10’’ graphite,

Wally’s drawing was a surprise Christmas present from daughter to mother. A video of the unveiling was sent to me after the holidays, making the project extra rewarding!

“Tricky”

8x10’’ graphite

Tricky was a Valentine’s Day gift from husband to wife. Capturing his eyes through his fur was an interesting challenge for me. His all white coat required a very delicate hand to complete.
